ABOUT NORTH RIVER BOATS

North River Boats is one of the largest heavy-gauge aluminum boat manufacturers in the United States, and has a diversified customer list which includes the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, Trinidad Pilots Association, Authority Canal de Panama, dozens of commercial customers, and dozens of state and county municipalities. The company also produces an extensive line of heavy-gauge recreational boats, and is the fastest growing manufacturer of these vessels in the Western United States. North River Boats supplies world-class products on time and within budget.

North River employees not only behave like owners, they actually became owners with the implementation of the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), effective January 1, 2016.  The ESOP gives every qualifying team member an ownership stake in the business, which reinforces each person’s commitment to quality, operational excellence and customer service.

MANUFACTURING FACILITY

North River Boats is located at 1750 Green Siding Road in Roseburg, Oregon. North River manufactures world-class heavy-gauge aluminum boats in an owned facility comprising over 125,000 square feet of manufacturing space on 10 acres.  North River Boats employs 160 people, operating two shifts. The company has state of the art welding equipment, new modernized router tables, press brakes and shear presses. North River’s paint department is complete with a sandblasting booth and 3 down-draft paint booths. The outfitting shop has 6 large outfitting bays, a complete canvas and upholstery division and a large quality control inspection bay.

North River Boats has dedicated project managers (PCs) for every commercial boat that is built. The PC sees the boat through the entire build process from concept to delivery and reactivation. North River’s design department uses 3-D Rhino design software that allows for precise router cut parts to ensure a proper fit and an excellent end product. The design team is located in house and has extensive experience in the marine industry. North River retains a dedicated professional engineering firm for the necessary engineering calculations and approvals during the design and build process.
